How can I determine the item?

Complete code: displays complete information on the product.

First digits of the code: the system displays all the codes starting with those numbers, so that you can choose the one you are looking for.

Searching in the whole tariff structure of the country: you may choose the Chapter (2 digits), then the section heading (4 digits), then sub-headings, and so on, in order to find the desired item.
  >> By text:

If you type a word which defines the item, the system displays the positions of the item in the tariff structure.
   
Which information is displayed on the screen?
 

>> 1) Total description of the tariff item, the current import taxes and updating source and date.
  >> 2) Import Amounts for the chosen import country, regarding that item, in thousands of US dollars.
The trade information is displayed in two charts: the first one shows the amounts related to the country’s current nomenclature, based on the version 2002 of the Harmonized System, excepting Venezuela and Cuba, and the second one shows the amounts related to the country’s previous nomenclature, based on the version 1996 of the Harmonized System. This information is based on the correlation between the two last amendments of the Harmonized System.
  >> 3) Current Negotiated Preferences granted by the selected countries to the item. The preferences are presented according to ALADI’s nomenclature and the information is based on the correlation between national tariffs and the different versions of the NALADISA.
  >> 4) Regulations on Foreign Trade of the import country, related to the chosen item. It is also possible to search other laws referred to subjects related to the item.
Can I save the displayed information?

The system allows you to create a file in text format, which you can import to your PC, containing all the displayed information.

This module provides:
 

>> 1)Periods with Available Statistics on Foreign Trade:

>> 2) Foreign Trade Statistics for National Tariff Items.

This option provides information on:

>> a)Imports and exports amounts of a chosen item for a chosen country, in a selected year

>> b) Commerce of the chosen country with a partner country or with all countries in the world, related to an item.
The system displays a chart which presents the years in which there have been changes in nomenclature.

>> c) Starting on the year of the last change in nomenclature, it is possible to access the commerce series of previous years, after selecting an item from the list of items resulting from the correlation between the last two versions of the Harmonized System.

>> d) Access to current national tariffs.

>> 3) Foreign Trade Totals by Country:

After selecting a country, the system displays a chart with the import or export amounts of that country from/to a selected country or with all countries in the world.

>> 4) Main Products of Foreign Trade by Country:

Displays the main imports or exports of a selected country and its balance of trade.

>> 2) Current Tariffs by National Tariff Item

displays information on the current tariffs for a selected tariff item and country. There are also links to:

>> a) Statistics on foreign trade and current negotiated preferences for the selected item. To accede to preferences, it is necessary to choose the item from a list of NALADISA’s items, which is a result of the correlation of a country’s national tariff and the nomenclature of the ALADI.

>> b) Regulations on foreign trade of the selected country, related to the chosen tariff item.

This module provides information on:
 

>> 1) Current Preferences Negotiated by Item NALADI:

Displays the current negotiated preferences for a selected NALADI version

>> 2) Current Preferences Negotiated in Agreements:

After selecting the type of agreement, the search may be bound by choosing the granting and beneficiary countries, in order to limit the number of agreements. It is possible to search the negotiated items after selecting the agreement.
